Monkey Sports Bombers Playoff MVP
Special thanks to Monkey Sports for their continued support of the Long Beach Bombers hockey organization, and its players!
Huntington Beach native, Ryan Gil, put on a show during the 2018 WSHL Thorne Cup Playoffs. The 1998-born center led the league's most potent offensive trio, which included wingers Artem Korolev and Miroslav Rohlik. Their line combined for 46 points in 9 playoff games; paced by Gil, who led the entire league with 21 playoff points. Gil finished as the team's 8th-leading scorer (33pts), despite playing in just 21 games.
Long Beach Bombers Head Coach & General Manager, Chris White, commented, "Ryan was spectacular in the final month of our season. What's even more impressive, is that he was our number one center, and he's not even a natural center. He was fantastic in all three zones. His puck possession, creativity, and playmaking ability, made his line one of the best in the WSHL, down the stretch. He has an extremely high hockey IQ, which gives our team the benefit of a 'fourth coach' element. Ryan is very aware of situational play, match-ups, and game momentum. On behalf of many within the organization, I hope this was just the tip of the iceberg, when it comes to Ryan's Bombers career."
