Monkey Sports Bombers Player of the Month - March

by Bombers Staff

The Monkey Sports Bombers Player of the Month Award for March goes to goaltender, Spencer Kozlowski. The 1997-born Canadian has a record of 12-3 with Long Beach, since his February acquisition from the Valencia Flyers. The Vancouver native sparkled in March, going 9-0, while posting fantastic stats: 1.04 Goals Against Average, .970 Save Percentage, and 4 Shutouts. Four of those games were Thorne Cup Playoff starts; all wins. Over a four-plus game stretch, in March, Kozlowski racked up a franchise-record shutout streak of 259 minutes, 16 seconds.

Long Beach Bombers Head Coach & General Manager, Chris White, commented, "Ryan Gil played 10 games in March, and racked up 21 points. Of those games, 5 of them were in the Thorne Cup Playoffs, in which he accumulated and astounding, and team-leading, 15 points. So, for some one else to win the Player of the Month Award, you have to know that some one had a truly special month of performances. What Spencer has accomplished, this past month, is not only fantastic for the month of March, but it is a historic run of elite play. We are very excited to see how Spencer finishes his junior career, and confident he will give us a shot to win, every time he is in net."

Special thanks to Monkey Sports for their sponsorship of the Player of the Month Award, and continued support of the organization!
