Long Beach Adds Local Forward Ayoubi

by Chris White

The Long Beach Bombers are proud to announce the signing of local forward, Tristan Ayoubi. The Orange, California native stands 6’0, weighing 180lbs, and is a right shot. Born August, 30, 1997, he is entering his final season of junior hockey. Last year, the former Anaheim Jr. Duck played for the Syracuse Stampede in the NA3HL.

The gritty winger finished his rookie campaign with 7G-1A in 34 games played. The Stampede were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. Ayoubi is currently attending Saddleback College, and works part-time at Monkey Sports, a Long Beach Bombers team partner and sponsor of the Bombers Player of the Month Award.

Long  Beach Bombers Head Coach and General Manager, Chris White, commented, “Tristan is a team-first kind of player, with a physical edge. He possesses a hard shot, and will be a solid compliment to our European-laden roster. He is a hard-working young man, and I think will turn out to be one of the most-improved players on the roster, by April. We are excited he has chosen to stay home and become a member of our organization. He is quickly fitting in with the group, as one of the few Southern California players on our roster. In our discussions, he is very impressed with the level of talent, and eagerness to not only be on the team, but to improve each and every day. I would be shocked if Tristan didn't have a career year, this season. We are looking forward to seeing his straight-line, hard-nosed play on the wing, this year.”
