Bombers Browning Set For Home Debut

by Bombers Staff

The Long Beach Bombers are proud to announce the signing of local defenseman, Tyler Browning. The Huntington Beach native stands 6’3, weighing 200lbs, and is a right shot. Browning formerly played for the California Wave AAA program, and was discovered thanks to Tyler Maxwell of Maxwell Hockey Camps.

The big rearguard will add much-needed depth to the defensive core. Additionally, he will become the second righty, as Von Mullin had been the only right-shot defenseman on the roster. For the Wave, Browning was the second-leading scorer, among defensemen. In 18 Games Played, he recorded 2G-4A-6Pts-18PIMs.

Long Beach Bombers Head Coach and General Manager, Chris White, commented, “We are thrilled to have a 6’3 right shot defenseman fall in our lap, at this point in the season. Tyler will likely have a bit of an adjustment period, but he should be firing on all cylinders by the Showcase and come the New Year. Tyler has imposing size, and will immediately push for ice time. We have been very happy with our top-4, more often than not, and this addition should really help round-out our group. There have been some rare occasions when our top guys were just gassed. Tyler affords us one more capable option to eat some minutes, and assure our big guns have something left in the tank, late in games. You can never have too many good defensemen."
