by Bombers Staff

The Long Beach Bombers are proud to announce the college commitment of forward, Tristan Ayoubi. The SoCal native has elected to attend Lawrence Technological University, in Michigan. The Blue Devils compete in the North American Intercollegiate Hockey Association (NAIHA), where they finished in 4th place, a season ago. The 1997-born winger returned home after playing in New York, two seasons ago, and was able to make the jump to the collegiate ranks.

Ayoubi stands 5’11, 180lbs, and is a right shot. In his second year of junior hockey, he compiled a stat line of 35GP-1G-4A-5PTS. The Orange, CA resident was enrolled in junior college, and will be transferring to his new four-year home. Two former Bombers, Mikael Lengmo and Daniel Skoglund, just completed their fourth, and final, season at Lindenwood-Belleville University, who also play in the NAIA.

Long Beach Bombers Head Coach & General Manager, Chris White, commented, “We are very happy for Tristan, as he continues to pursue his hockey career, while transferring into a four-year academic program. As a depth forward, Tristan maintained a positive attitude, and continued to put in the effort necessary to develop his individual game. He was a great teammate, who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to players and staff, alike. Tristan will be one of a very few players from outside of Michigan, at Lawrence Tech, so it’s fantastic he has been given this great opportunity to join the college ranks. He's a team-first kind of player, so I expect Lawrence Tech will be happy with him. We appreciate Tristan’s time with our organization, and will be rooting for him, in the Fall.”
