by Bombers Staff

The Long Beach Bombers are proud to announce that alumni forward, Miroslav Rohlik, has signed to play with Alvesta SK, in Sweden. The HockeyTvåan club is also home to Bombers alum, Michael Sjölin. Alvesta is located in south central Sweden, near Växjö. Rohlik just reported to the club, this week.

In his single season with Long Beach, the Chrudim, Czech Republic native finished 2nd in Goals and Points, finishing with a stat line of 59GP-43G-50A-93PTS. His 45 Goals were the 5th-highest single-season total in Bombers history, while his 93 Points stand in 6th. The versatile forward was one-third of what was quite possibly the hottest line in the WSHL, for the Thorne Cup Playoffs. Rohlik, Ryan Gil, and returning winger, Artem Korolev, combined for 46 Points in 9 playoff contests. This will be Rohlik’s first full season of professional hockey, although, he played 8 games for Pardubice, in the top Czech league, prior to signing with the Bombers.

Long Beach Bombers Head Coach & General Manager, Chris White, commented, “We are very happy that Miro has found a home, and I am sure he will have a fantastic season. It’s great that the global Bombers network gets an assist, on this one, with a lot of credit going to Mike Sjölin. Kirill Markevich had a good experience playing in Sweden, last season, and I am confident the same will be said for Miro. We are going to miss giving Miro fist bumps on the way out to the ice, every period, this year. He really stepped into a leadership role, and made some big plays for us. I am hoping this provides him a good platform to climb the professional hockey ladder, in the years to come.”
