Bombers Alum Mullin To Dakota College at Bottineau

by Bombers Staff

The Long Beach Bombers are proud to announce that veteran alum, Von Mullin, has signed with Dakota College at Bottineau. The small North Dakota junior college plays ACHA Division 2, while being a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Mullin was a two-year defenseman, in Long Beach, and a three-year Western States Hockey League player.

The right-shot from Cartwright, Manitoba played 102 WSHL games, recording 5G-17A-68PIMs. Mullin’s former team, the Bellingham Blazers, were formerly members of the Northern Pacific Hockey League, prior to joining the WSHL. Mullin was acquired in February of 2017, at the Trade Deadline, to bolster the Bombers defensive group.

Long Beach Bombers Head Coach & General Manager, Chris White, commented, “Von was a glue guy, in the locker room, on the bench, and at the billet house. He was extremely well-liked, and was a hard-working player that did whatever he was asked. Von is at his best when he plays a simple game, and lets his size/speed do the work. I think he will be a solid asset for the DCB program, which has a long history of both winning, and moving players up the collegiate ranks. We’re definitely going to miss having Von’s positive, team-first attitude around the rink, this year. We wish him all the best, both on the rink, and in the classroom.”
