The Long Beach Bombers are proud to announce the signing of Canadian forward, Lee-Jay Meguinis. The 6’5, 260 right shot winger has a September 1, 1997 birth date. Meguinis is from Southwest of Calgary, in the Tsuu T’ina Nation Indian reserve in Alberta.

Meguinis began the year with the Elliot Lake Wildcats in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League; his second season with the club. Meguinis also played for the Cochrane Crunch, last season, and has an NOJHL career stat line of 56GP-9G-13A-22Pts. Prior the playing in the NOJHL, Meguinis was a member of the WSHL, splitting time between the Springfield Express and Arizona Hawks. The big power forward also suited up for Banff Hockey Academy, before beginning his junior career. In 3 playoff games, last season, Meguinis recorded 1G-2A, for the Wildcats. This season, Lee-Jay wore an “A” for Elliot Lake.

Long Beach Bombers Head Coach & General Manager, Chris White, commented, “We are very excited to add Lee-Jay to our forward group. Lee-Jay considered signing with us, this off-season, and we have finally managed to get him down to Long Beach. He is going to add experience and depth to our lineup, while giving us an imposing physical presence, to boot. Opponents are aware of when Lee-Jay is on the ice, and we feel his physicality is going to be a huge benefit down the stretch. We have a lot of important divisional games in the second half, so adding a twenty year-old that has played nearly 100 junior hockey games is going to be a big bonus, for us.”
